Africa? Yes. So it was with fear and trembling that I embarked on the country of Kenya, Africa – Alone. The Lord sent many precious Africans into my life; but one was especially dear, Peter Tibi. His life had been full of sorrow and I adopted him as my African son. Now where does Godly Women Out of History come into this picture? Upon returning home, I asked myself what I could do to help Peter. I had been asked to write a program for women, hence, this narration came to fruition. The free will offerings we received were sent to Peter to help him in his ministry as a pastor in Sudan, Africa. The Lord has been good to us as a cast and we are all amazed, grateful, excited and humbled by how the program has been received in over 50 churches or gatherings. It is the prayer of each one of the cast to let our light shine for Christ that we may stun the world with the brightness of God’s message. The year was 1945 and my husband to be, Arne Hansen, and I had dedicated our lives to go to the mission field. Several years passed, and we were busy at home in church work and teaching at our seminary; but the mission field had never really left our minds. Africa kept tugging at our hearts and we now decided to go for a few years as soon as he retired. However, the Lord had other plans and He took Arne to Heaven at the age of 59. Now for me, the transition from married life to widowed life was not easy, and the 1980’s brought many unforeseen changes in my life.
