Godly Women out of History
Their candles have gone out
but their light continues to shine
Several years ago when we began our program, Godly Women Out of History, our treasury was naturally low. Expenses of a chartered bus plus other costs were high. Isaiah 54:2 tells us we should "lengthen our cords" so we agreed to help support an African pastor in Sudan, Africa. Because this would all take money, we asked ourselves what we could do to supplement our treasury.
Almost everyone enjoys dessert and we came up with the idea of having an evening when people could enjoy fellowship with lots and lots of special desserts. (We naturally have to include some Norwegian goodies such as lefse, rosettes, rommegrot, etc.)
Since we wanted something unique we decided to call it a "Dessert Fantasy". As one enters the room and sees all the tables laden with such beautiful food prepared by members of the cast, it is truly a dessert fantasy. This has become an annual event and each year people come from a long distance to enjoy – Yes – our "Dessert Fantasy".
